No, you could chose to get discovery sanctions, including having your case dismissed, for failure to comply with legitimate discovery requests. Civil trials are 'full disclosure' required.

Only if you want not to be allowed to present any documents or witnesses at trial. You are not allowed to keep your evidence secret in civil trials.
