Legal Question in Health Care Law in California

my doctor called my insurance for explanation of bennifits........doctors office misunderstood the bennifits that were stated....told me everything was covered with my 20 dollar copay........after services were rendered and after the doctor was not being paid for non-covered treatments i was told i have a bill to pay and there demanding payment/collections.......................can i small claims court the doctors office for my fees they say i owe to be waived?
please advise

Most likely your doctor is engaging in illegal "balance billing." Maybe a letter to your insurance company will help.
