Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

I am a US citizen and want to marry my girlfriend a Irish National. Can I submit a I-129F form and when it is approved get married in Ireland and return with her to the US. Or should I fly her over on vacation,get married file a I-130 petition send her back to Ireland until the visa is approved. Help. Tim

If you file the Fiancee visa petition, I-129F, it's for marriage in the United States. If plan to marry abroad, you will need to file the I-130 after the marriage. In both cases, there is a wait involved.
