Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

If I am divorced and want to get married to a non- US citizen in the future,but i have had help from AFDC in the past, will this affect my new wife from obtaining a Permanent Resident Card?

It should not affect your petition and your wife's application for residency, provided that presently your income is above federal poverty guidelines.
