Re: EAD Card

Yes, you can work for any employer or be self-employed with a valid EAD.

As to the green card interview timeframes, it largely depends on your local office's processing times. It could be from just 1-2 month after receipt of EAD, to almost a year in other districts.

Re: EAD Card

You may work in any legal job if you have a work authorization card. However, it will be practical to wait until you receive a green card before opening a long term practice such as an accounting firm.

The processing time for getting a green card depends on who sponsored you. If a spouse, child over 21 or parent sponsored you, then it will take about 6 months. If a sibling sponsored you, it will take longer.

Re: EAD Card

Yes, you should be fine suing the EAD card. Were the petition an employment based petition, then I wouldn't be as sure.

Re: EAD Card

Dear Inquirer:

You may engage in any lawful employment now that you have your EAD card. Once you file for adjustment of status, as it appears you have, it generally takes 6-8 months before you will be interviewed and/or issued the green card.

I recommend that you visit www.hanlonlawgroup.com or email me at [email protected] if you would like to schedule an appointment for a confidential consultation to discuss this matter further.
