Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

I have a friend..her visa has ran out and her drivers license is good until this coming october..if she were to go to the DMV to renew her drivers license ..one ..would it be renuied with no consequences ..or two ..would she have to worry about someone calling the NIS ..and being arrested or detained in any matter and finally being deported ..

If she is in the USA illegally (out of status), she can't renew her driver license. It will be denied.
