Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

My green card has expired, living outside of US but would like to come back to US. I have a social security card. Due to my military status I could not come back to US. But now that obstacle is gone and I come back. What is my first step to renew or re-open my case for my green card?

Did you give up your green card? Did you serve for the U.S. military in active duty? The answer to these and other questions would reveal your eligibility to maintain your immigration status or to naturalize to U.S. citizenship (if you so chose). Without greater clarity it is not possible to know what you qualify for.

The above does not form an attorney client relationship and provides general information only. It is not legal advice.
