Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

hi i am an international student in santa barbara and totally legal.i won the dv 2010.my case number is EU20XXX.i hired a lawyer to do Adjustment of status.my number is not current but she sent my all forms and fees on october 1st or 2nd.my question is did she do something wrong? .should i wait for my number becomes current?

If your number is not current yet and is not likely to become current in the next 1-3 months, then it was too early to apply for adjustment of status. Your number seems to be a big number (20XXX), and you shall follow the Dept of State Visa Bulletin updates (to see when it becomes current for Europe/your region).
