When terminating an employee who is on an H1 Visa does the employer have to purchase a one way ticket to their home country? If so, what is the timing of this? Immediately upon the day of termination?\nAlso, must you write a letter to the USCIS stating this employee is no longer working for you and therefore ask them to revoke the H1? Any other employer requirements to be compliant?\n

Yes, they have to buy the ruturn ticket departing immediately or shortly after end of employment and notify the USCIS.
