Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California
yesterday my freind asked me if i could drive him to the mall so he could sell a rolex hand watch to a jewlery store. when we got there the stores watch "person" who could be able to tell if it was fake or not was not in. another man in the store overheard my freind talking to the clerk and asked if he could by the watch. My freind and i agreed to meet him at a bank across the street to get money. the man was woried that the watch could be fake so aparently he took down my liscens plate number which i was not aware of. he ended up buyinh the watch. the next day he called my freind back and said it was fake and whants his money back or he'll press charges. is anything we did illegal? thanks for the help!

If he files criminal fraud charges against you, feel free to contact me to discuss the legal representation and help you're going to need. If he sues you in Superior Court for 'fraud' or related claims, then you'll need an attorney to represent you in that, call me. I suspect that the worst that will happen is that you will get sued. This is a situation where 'buyer beware' applies. He'll have to be able to prove you were a co-conspirator and helped defraud him.
