Legal Question in Employment Law in California

2 week notice

I gave my employer a 4 week notice that I'll be ending my employment, and then the next day they let me go with out pay. Since then, I've been told, that I'm entitled to 2 weeks severence pay. What is the true?

You're not entitled to anything from the company unless their own policy requires it.
