Legal Question in Employment Law in California
2 weeks notice at work
I work in California at a company that practices ''as will'' employment. After having been employed there for 2-1/2 years, if I give 2 weeks notice and then am let go the next day, does that company owe me compensation for the 2 weeks?

No. There is no waiting period requirement for termination of an at-will employment.

No, only for the day/hours actually worked, absent an employment agreement to the contrary.
