Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I accepted a job through a staffing agency based on confidential information about bonuses that was shared with me by the agency. The bonus was not gauranteed however the potential that it existed based on productivity was implied. Once hired and in place I found out the bonus did not in fact exist. What recourse, if any, might I have?

None. You already acknowledge it was not 'guaranteed'. Only if you had a guaranty in writing would it be enforceable, assuming you met all the conditions of receipt.
