if i am being accused of harassment shouldnt my employer tell who it is before investigation

No. Confidentiality protects the accuser, as well as you. The company has a duty to investigate and take appropriate remedy and action.
Keep in mind that in general, unless you are civil service, in a union or have a written employment contract, you are an 'at will' employee that can be disciplined or fired any time for any reason, other than illegal discrimination under the Civil Rights, or Whistle-blower, or similar statutes. Your goal should be to keep your employer happy with you. Accusations of misconduct like this can clearly be the basis of termination, even if not 'proved' against you.
