Acute Stress and Anxiety Due to Work-Related Situations

I have just taken time off of work due to stress and anxiety. A great deal of my problem is personal, however it relates to a relationship at work and the ensuing drama. Also,my supervisor at the time was a tyrant,I wasn't allowed to be sick or take personal days, etc. For the past two years,I have suffered flashbacks and anxiety attacks while at work,I have to see a therapist, and I am on medications.I cannot walk onto the premisis(while on my anxiety meds)without feeling acutely panicked.I am told at work that this is a disability issue, and not a workers comp issue. On top of all this, the director of the facility where I work is acting in a very unprofessional way.My former fiance, whom I am trying to reconcile with is being made to feel that she will be in trouble if we are seen together off of work! She lives one street over from the director, and is afraid that my car might be seen at her house. The other day,the director was spying on me through her back fence-how am I supposed to go to work knowing that my director has no problem being this unprofessional in broad daylight? There are further issues of harrassment and discrimination related to my non-hederosexual relationship, but alas,I am running out of room. What should I do?

Re: Acute Stress and Anxiety Due to Work-Related Situations

See an attorney to discuss whether this is only a WCAB/disability issue, or whether there are actually issues of discrimination. You will need to provide a lot more details.

Re: Acute Stress and Anxiety Due to Work-Related Situations

Call to discuss. Appears to be workers comp and possible civil matter.
