How? Extremely carefully, and in full compliance with all state and federal plant closure rules, labor laws, and union negotiating requirements. What you propose is probably on its face 'illegal'. Tell me you don't really think you are going to base the company's future and existence on some free 'tips and hints' that are of NO value to you? The employer needs to hire experienced counsel to represent them in this process to avoid huge civil liability and litigation expenses. Research and locate someone in your locale; ask other similar businesses for referral to their successful counsel.
