Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Agreement

I start working for a friend's company on April 2008. Was promised an increase in salary on April 2009 but later deferred to January 2010.

I'm concerned that company will let me go a few months after salary raise on January 2010. I would like the owner to sign a simple agreement with me including a clause that says if the company fire me just months after increasing my salary, I would be entitled to a compensation.

I've drafted a simple agreement myself and would like an attorney to review and finalize it for me. May I know how much would be the attorney fee?

Thank you.

Re: Agreement

Don't waste your money. I wouldn't recommend any client company of mine to sign such agreement; I doubt this one will. You could ask, and IF he says yes, then prepare a document.
