Legal Question in Employment Law in California

If I am arrested and charges brought outside of the workplace, and the charge as a potential misdemeanor had nothing to do with the workplace and they chose to fire me for it, will I still qualify for Unemployment Insurance?

Unemployment can be denied you for 'quit' or 'misconduct firing', neither of which you described. You should qualify, once you are 'free' and looking for work after the termination.
