Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I am being asked to blow the whistle by a co-worker that they are trying to get rid of. She wants me to stand up for her and tell the owner of the wrong doings of my managers. If I do then the managers will target me. Do I stand up for what is right and be honest, or lie and/or keep my mouth shut.

No one is going to advise you to lie. Let your conscience and ethics be your guide, you obviously know what that means. You may or may not be covered by whistle-blower anti-retaliation laws, if the conduct involves civil rights issues or illegal conduct of the company. If it does, and if you are retaliated against, feel free to contact me.
