Legal Question in Employment Law in California
hello,
I was asked to do something unsafe (run a cnc machine with a 5 foot aluminum plate hanging out) the end result was a bad program the programmer had programmed. the aluminum plate crashed into the side of the door and i could have been killed. im lucky i was not there at the time because i was off washing my hands getting ready to clock out. i was wrote up today and all the blame was put on me. i refused to sign the document because i dont belive it to be true. my manager supports our new supervisor (programmer) even though he does not know that much. the new supervisor is a friend of his and there is favortism going on.i get blamed for everything while this guy makes scrap and everything is swept under the rug.is there anything i can do?? im marked already and they will probably terminate me because of this incident. i stress the important of my safety but no one seems to care. please tell me what can i do????

You weren't injured, so you have no WCAB claim. You were written up for not being at your post on the job, so it doesn't sound like you have any grounds to appeal the write up. You can either stay and try to please the employer, or you can look for another job.
