Legal Question in Employment Law in California
assignment discrimination
My employer, the US Postal Service is required to assign(bids) positions to employees based on seniority. A person who has become injured on the job cannot displace a more senior assigned person according to our labor contract. My manager routinely displaces me from my bid assignment and requires me to work in less desireable assignments. He routinely displaces me in this way with people of the opposite sex who are minorities. He also routinely assignes persons of the opposite sex and are injured on the job and are miniorities to the more desireable positions thoroughout the mail processing plant where I work. Is this reverse discrimination? Should I file an EEO complaint?

Re: assignment discrimination
you have a union grievance, file it. Claiming reverse discrimination with an EEOC filing and subsequent lawsuit is possible. Contact me if interested in discussing the risks and potential rewards.
