can your boss deny you a 10 min break after working 4 1/2 hrs?

You are entitled to morning and afternoon breaks at the mid points, plus a lunch in the middle of your shift. Denial is basis for you to file suit or a complaint with the Labor Commissioner for unpaid OT, penalties and interest.
