Legal Question in Employment Law in California
California, I was punched i n the face in a parking lot near the bar i work at ten hours before my shift, there was no police involvement or anything but the bar across from the one i work at employees saw it happen and told my employer, i showed up for work that night at my scheduled time and was told i was suspended pending investigation, I wasnt in my work uniform i wasnt any where near the start of my scheduled shift, i came on time to my shift and would have been able to preform all duties without any problem, how is it that i can possibly be fired for another bar telling my employer that i was hit in there parking lot? what course of action do i have to protect myself and my job? please someone respond asap thank youWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

There are no laws against 'unfair treatment' or poor management. In general, unless an employee is civil service, in a union, or has a written employment contract, they are an 'at will' employee that can be disciplined or fired any time for any reason, with or without cause, explanation or notice. The employee's goal should be to keep the employer happy. They are unhappy with you, unfairly or not.
