Caught boss withholding $, laid off 3 days later

Found gsm stealing money from me ( and others).said would take care of it , askd again , said later said no, i said you are taking my money , he said ok , i pay you , gets pissed bumps me , bump back , 3 day later , my job postion is no longer , but some else is doing it .

manager tells me , step down or you are no longer need. i leave , 3 days later go to get check, he says no. What? tells me i quit , he did not lay me off , please give check, says no , i left ?

What do i do ?

An employer is not permitted to withhold funds or refuse to pay your wages. Should your employer still owe you wages, you are able to file a claim with the California Labor Commissioner. You can find them on line or in the blue section of your yellow pages.
