Legal Question in Employment Law in California

civil code 1542

yesterday i was forced to sign a LLC

contract at work that i did not fully

understand. it mentioned this civil code.

when i asked if i may take time to review

it so i could understand it. i was told no

and if i refused to sign right now i would

be terminated. when i asked for a copy i

was denied. i had no choice but to sign.

Re: civil code 1542

"LLC contract" ?? That phrase doesn't tell anybody here anything useful.

"Worried"? Sure. You are presumed to know what you are signing, and anyone looking at the document later is entitled to assume you did. You could now have a consultation with an attorney to review the document, all the facts and issues, and get an opinion as to what you face. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing so.
