Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My company changed vacation policy in January 2010 to say that accrued vacation will be capped at 120 hours, but I already have 80 hours carried over from 2009. Can they stop my accrual once the carry over from 2009 plus 2010 accrual reached 120 hours? Thanks.

Yes. Use it of lose it. The employer is entitled to set and change hours, duties, titles, compensation, benefits, leaves, vacations, holidays, policies, rules, etc. just not retroactively.
