Legal Question in Employment Law in California
The company I work for was bought out, and the new company is willing to keep most of the employees. If i do not accept the position with the new company would I be able to receive unemployment while I look for another job?

It depends on how they structure the buy-out and handle the employee transitions. If they do it right you will not be able to qualify for unemployment if they offer to keep you on.

Probably not, if you are 'quitting' or 'refusing' an offered job.
