Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My current company, which I am leaving wants me to repay salary that I was paid during training that they sent me to. I signed an agreement saying that I would repay the full cost of training if I leave before 24 months. I have been there for 7 months. Do they have any right(legally) to require repayment of salary?

You signed an contract that is quite commonly used. What would make you think you don't have to honor it [your word]? They can sue you. I suggest you try to negotiate a deal and discount. If serious about hiring counsel to help, feel free to contact me.
