Legal Question in Employment Law in California
My daughter works in retail. She continuously gets 2-3 hr shifts. Is there not a 4hour requirement in CA?

No. 2 hr is probably the minimum

Mr. Nelson is correct. Even if the employee shows up for one minute, they must be paid a minimum of two hours. However, if the employee is scheduled to work more than four hours, reporting time increases to one-half the scheduled work day, up to a maximum of four hours.
