Denial of STD benefits

My ER is Kemper Insurance. I have been denied salary continuation benefits but approved worker's compensation benefits. Off work as of 4/12. FMLA not approved. They disagree with physicians findings. I appealed. Have to see an IME. How can an IME in late May determine my condition in April and early May? They say IME will not be used against me in comp case which i seriously doubt, since the company is self insured and administers all threee programs together. Adjuster is refusing treatment recommendations from physician. What are my options?

Your situation is sufficiently complicated to require a consultation with an attorney. I'd suggest a workers comp specialist.
