Legal Question in Employment Law in California

i believe i was Discriminated against at my old job. now terminated (lay off). what can i do?hire: 05-11-07 layoff:11-05-08 company hired 3-4 other employee. i was let go. but kept other newer employees. no right ups. word got around general manager in L.A. wanted me gone. i went to apply 10-05-09 to the job as a assistant but general manager did not want me hired.

You had one year to bring a discrimination claim on the firing, that time has passed. IF you can PROVE refusal to hire was due to illegal discrimination or retaliation under the Civil Rights statutes.because of race, age sex, etc., you could file a claim on that. Speculation is not proof. Unfairness and personality, politics is not discrimination.
