Legal Question in Employment Law in California

discrimination

I began my employment at this current company ( which is family owned: mother - daughter - and son) in Dec. 2006. I was hired on as customer service starting pay was $12.00. Little by little my employers gave me little tasks here and there which turned in to my daily duties. Since then 5 employees have gone. My manager asked me if i wanted to do the job and i took it figuring it would come with a pay raise and possible title change. It's been about three months now i have my old duties and new ones too and not one employer has had the decency to speak to me about my position. I feel like they are discriminating against me and taking advantage of me because of my age and race. my male employer is very disrespectful, rude, and offensive. I am constantly stressed out and I've even gone home crying a few times. I spoke to them today about my position and what i would like to be done. I spoke to the mother she avoided the question the whole conversation and in the end she said she was planning to hire someone to relieve my duties after the bridal show . . . after October. I've been overworked since early June. Also if they put me back to customer service I'll feel like I've been demoted. Can I sue them for discrimination? for anything

Re: discrimination

You provided no facts that would show discrimination being the motive in this, only generalities. IF you think you have any evidence that this treatment is 'because of' your age or race, feel free to contact me to discuss.
