Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Is this discrimination?

I work in a grocery store. I am a lesbian. I recently wrote a letter to supervision letting them know about some rumors going around about me and another employee. Nothing was done. I was called into the office about a month later, and told I was being transferred because someone wrote a letter to HR complaining that I was favoring another employee. There is no truth to this claim, there was no investigation done, just transferred me for ''My protection and the company's protection. I am out on disability now, the union nor the employer have done anything about this. What are my options?

Re: Is this discrimination?

Unless you can prove discriminatory motive, nothing. It's tough to prove. Plus, you're out on disability, presumably job stress, thereby negating any ability to claim emotional distress under discrimination. IF you really think you can prove intentional discrimination, and prove as false pretext the reasons given, feel free to contact me.
