Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Driving personal vehicles
I take care of an elderly male and I drive 2 miles up and 2 miles back to take his granddaughter to school daily 5 days a week. I use my personal vehicle. I pay for my own gas. Is he required to pay mileage or gas? And what is my liability if I crash.? The child is 14. Is it better to drive his personal vehicle? What then are my liabilities?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Driving personal vehicles
Your post doesn't have enough information. Are you compensated for these services? Do you have a contract the spells out your duties and obligations?
Re: Driving personal vehicles
compensation depends upon your contract or agreement with him. Your personal liability for fault is the same regardless of the car, but the insurance coverage would be the issue you need to confirm and understand.
