Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I am due a retention bonus on Feb 1 if still employed. If I give 2 weeks notice on jan 20 is the company obligated to honor my notice and pay my bonus on Feb 1?

No. In fact, the employer could dismiss you on the spot, and you won't be there on February 1 to collect. If the bonus is distributed for remaining in your job, it seems inappropriate to take the money and run, doesn't it?
