Legal Question in Employment Law in California

An employee's creditor is requesting employment verification which asks for details regarding how much he makes and what was his last paycheck amount was and YTD amounts, plus current address information of that employee. What information am I, as an employer, legally allowed to provide?

You should obtain the employee's written authorization to release such personal information. If they do not provide authorization, it is the better practice to simply advise the creditor it is not the company policy to release employees' private information without written authorization.
