Employers must 'accommodate' disabilities if the employee can perform all the duties of his job when reasonably accommodated. In the case of corrective eye wear or other personal items like a prosthetic, it is the employee's obligation to provide them, not the employer. If you need glasses to safely perform all the duties of the job, and you refuse and fail to get them, you can be terminated for cause, and it won't be 'discrimination' if that was your thinking.
