Employer hires employee then lowers pay when employee has a contract

If you actually have an enforceable written contract that spells out those details, then you can bring legal action to enforce it.

Otherwise, employers are entitled to set and change hours, duties, titles, compensation, benefits, leaves, vacations, holidays, policies, rules, etc., just not retroactively.
