Legal Question in Employment Law in California

employer lied to move me to a new location

I have worked as a phelbotomist for a nationwide clinical laboratory for 19 years. In Dec. 2005 I was moved from a patient service center in which I had worked for 3 years. I was told by my supervisor that the company was in jeopardy of losing a big client in our medical building because of my poor client care. At this time there was a new hire a very young lady with poor customer service skills ,quite a few patients were complaining about her rudeness they would go up to this BIG clients office to ask what be done about this new hire because the patients did not like the way she treated them when they came into our office. Our sales rep was very invovled in me being moved not because there was a business reason it was because he did not like me. we have had a few run-ins mostly because I don't coward and get nervous when he comes into our suite. Anyway, both the new hire and myself are black women I believe both the sales rep and my supervisor took this so called opportunity to move me because the sales rep did not like me. Two months later I called this big client office and the office manager tells me that there was never a problem with me at all. What can I do to redeem my good name.

Nothing. But, you can take action if you can prove this was in some way discrimination related to race or gender. If it was merely office politics, that is not against the law. Contact me if you think you can show discrimination.
