Legal Question in Employment Law in California
My employer offered me a relocation package as part of my job offer and I signed a Relocation Repayment Agreement which states, If I decide to leave *** within 24 months of my effective date, I agree to repay to *** the funds disbursed under the Program
The way I interpreted that is that if I decide to leave, I will have to repay. My employer informed me that I will also need to repay if I am terminated. Can they make me repay if I am terminated?

Read the terms of your agreement to see if 'cause' was a listed event calling for repayment. If not listed, then you'll have a legal battle if you contest repayment under those conditions.
