Employer Overpayment

My employer recently overpaid almost all of it's employees through a glitch in the payroll system. Now they are asking for their money back. Do I legally have to repay the money that I was overpaid?

Yes, but you might be able to work out a repayment plan if you spent the money by mistake.

Duh. Of course. Arrange for payments if necessary, but why should you need them if you were living on your salary before, and got a 'windfall' above that? You didn't immediately run out and buy something, thinking it was free money, right?
