Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Do employers have to compensate for work-related car damages?

Do employers have to compensate employees for work-related damages to cars? If they have already compensated one employee, aren't they then required to compensate all? What are the laws regulations related to this? Each incident was reported to company risk manager, who told each employee there was no insurance coverage and we had to use our own. Then, one employee went directly to the CEO and got compensated individually, including cash payout for 3 years' of insurance rate hikes incurred when he did report it to his insurance company, and we all are still told we get nothing. Damages occurred while driving to work appointments and while parked in company lot (leased, not owned) during work hours.

Re: Do employers have to compensate for work-related car damages?

Appears from info provided that all should receive compensation. Need more info. However, if all go together as a group, likely less hassle for any one individual.
