The employer is entitled to set and change hours, duties, titles, compensation, benefits, leaves, vacations, holidays, policies, rules, etc. just not retroactively. Employees have the 'right' to pay and employee benefits per the state wage and hour laws, and formal company policy as agreed. They can require you to work overtime even if you object, and fire you if you refuse to work it. HOWEVER, you are entitled to be paid overtime for anything over 8 hours a day or over 40 hours in any seven day period. If you are not getting properly paid for OT, feel free to contact me for help in collecting the pay, substantial penalties, and interest you would be due.
