Legal Question in Employment Law in California
An ex-employee that walked out in the middle of her shift called today and she wants the separation paperwork she signed a couple of weeks ago. Do I need to provide her another copy of the paperwork now if she is requesting a copy. She was already provided a copy of this letter. Thank you.

Why do you not want to give her another copy? If she is considering suing you and you feel ther are no grounds, give her a copy so that when she takes it to an attorney they can see there is no basis for a suit against you. She undoubtedly remembers the gist of the letter and giving her a copy is not likely to reduce the likelihood of her filing suit against you.
An employee is entitled to a copy of whatever they sign, once. Why fight it, just send another copy.
