Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Exempt Hours

Are there any restrictions on the hours an exempt employee may be made to work? I have heard that my employer only has to provide four-days off per month and can require salaried employees to work 12 + hour days.

Re: Exempt Hours

That's the ugly downside of 'salaried' status. That's what you get paid the big bucks for. Now, that applies only if you're properly a salaried employee, such as managerial, technical or professional. If you aren't, you'd be entitled to all that overtime. Feel free to contact me if that is the case.
