Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Fair labor treatment

I was let go of my position after 11 months. The company policy stated that the probationary period was only till 9 months. I submitted my own evaluation to my boss 2 different times to get feedback, but never received a formal evaluation. Then exactly on the day of me being with them for 11 months they released me. Was this fair practice in their part?

Re: Fair labor treatment

Fair or not doesn't matter. You're an 'at will' employee that can be fired at any time for any reason, unless you have a written contract that says otherwise, or unless you're protected under the discrimination or retaliation laws. If you were, feel free to contact me.
