Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Flexible Schedule

If you are a salaried employee, is it legal to dock your time for being 15 minutes late, leaving early, etc. if your job is not suffering? Technically, aren't salaried employees able to work their own hours within reason?

Re: Flexible Schedule

Most likely, this deduction is unlawful. We would, however, require more information to make a final determination of its legality. Please contact us at (510) 891-9800 to discuss this further.

Re: Flexible Schedule

Properly catagorized 'Salaried' employees can't be docked like that. You can either resolve it with the employer or file a claim with the Labor Commissioner. If you are retaliated against, or if you want counsel to help with the process, contact me to discuss remedies.
