Legal Question in Employment Law in California
My friend was fired after getting in a argument with his employer regarding payroll checks being late, and NSF on payroll checks. His employer has been paying him cash for Per Diem only and not for full regular time and no overtime. He told his employer he want all of the back wages within 24 hours. What should he do if the employer gives him a partial cash payment? Should he take it? What legal recourse does he have?

Firing an employee for pursuing his wage claim is \'illegal\' and grounds for a lawsuit. If he is serious about doing so, and has evidence to back up his allegations, have him contact me. He can file an unpaid wage claim with the Labor Commissioner, or add that to the firing claim lawsuit.
