Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Good evening,

A new supervisor just came in and has been issuing memos once a week with ever changing rules (regarding the dress code, leave of absence rules)

Some employees sleeping during their shift (11pm-8am), has been an issue recently and on his last memo, our supervisor wrote:"No sleeping - Help each other and wake each other up. If you see other specialists sleeping, please take a picture and send it to me or text me immediately. I think you know what will happen to anyone who falls asleep."

On the same memo, he wrote "You've been left alone without supervisor too long. As I reinforce new guidelines, I'd like to ask everyone to cooperate"

Do these constitute a hostile work environment?

Thank you.

Hostile? How about understanding the employer's right to terminate 'at will' employees any time for any reason, and their good faith attempt to improve performance to avoid that?

No, this constitutes a strict new boss. Nothing you've described is illegal.
