Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Greetings

Prior to my departure from a former employer. I was sexually harassed by my employer through repeated comments about other female employees. I reported this to HR who claimed they would conduct and investigation (but also said "How dare I report their managers"). I would like to verify an investigation did take place and what the outcome was since my departure was forced because of this investigation. Can I legally request access to proof of investigation and if so, what would the statute be either Federal or the state of California that I can use in a letter to the former company.

Best

John

You have no right to any company records or info, and can obtain it, if at all, only after filing a lawsuit and seeking it by subpoena. If you think you have grounds for valid and timely lawsuit, then timely file your administrative complaint with DFEH or EEOC after consulting with counsel to confirm you have a case with merit and value. If you seriously think you do, feel free to contact me. I've been doing these cases for over 20 years. .
